4th ChASC Applications and Information Sessions

I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for this network of talented peers seeking to improve the future of bilateral relations. I’m more grateful for this new circle of friends who share vulnerably, listen compassionately, and love beyond borders.

Raven Witherspoon, 2nd ChASC Executive Committee Member

Eligibility

Incoming college/university students, currently enrolled college/university students, and recent graduates from all academic majors and certificate/degree programs are encouraged to apply for this one-of-a-kind gathering dedicated to learning beyond the classroom and partaking in meaningful dialogue with their international counterparts.

As long as you are passionate and curious about China-US relations, we want you! ChASC welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, and does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, age, religion, marital status or sexual orientation.

Applicants must either:

  • Be enrolled in a university and be in good academic standing with their institution at the time of application, or
  • Have graduated within the last two years.

Applicants interested in becoming a member of the Chinese Delegation for the in-person conference must already have a valid U.S. student visa/other residency status in the United States or have the ability to acquire one prior to the start of the program.

No Chinese language proficiency is required, as the official language of the Conference is English. Those interested in serving as a member of the Chinese delegation should be comfortable actively contributing to scholarly discussions conducted entirely in English.

If you have any questions about eligibility or feel you are otherwise qualified, please inform us as soon as possible at chasc4.mlau@gmail.com. If you are applying for ChASC and have a disability that requires accommodations (wheelchair accessible housing, need for sign language translator, etc.) or questions regarding accommodations, please contact ISC directly at info@iscdc.org as soon as possible to discuss options.
