Korea-America Student Conference

The 15th annual Korea-America Student Conference, KASC, will bring up to 30 Korean and American college students together in South Korea and the US. This conference consists of two parts: a one-week Virtual Orientation that will be held in the beginning of July 2022 and the three-week Virtual Conference portion which will take place from July 18 to August 5. Conference days will last for three hours each day between 8-11pm EST / 9am-12pm KST.

The theme of the upcoming conference is “Multifaceted Identities: Discovering Self Through Technology, Community, and Society to Create Sustainable Legacies”. During the Virtual Orientation, delegates will meet over Zoom and participate in exciting cultural activities to get to know each other and the KASC 15 Executive Committee! This includes group bonding activities, meetings with round table groups, and hearing from influential guest speakers. The Virtual Conference will last 3-4 hours each day and delegates will participate in seminars, roundtable discussions, virtual tours and various activities to increase intercultural understanding. Over the course of three weeks, delegates will have the unique opportunity to engage in academic, cultural, and professional exchange with professionals, scholars, and experts from both the ROK and the US.

Throughout the conference, delegates are to discuss, explore, and collaborate on several pressing bilateral and global topics with specific relevance to both the US and ROK. Delegates will then present their joint solutions to a panel of experts and the general public at the conclusion of the conference during the Final Forum.

KASC seeks to achieve a diverse delegation, and all majors and academic levels are encouraged to apply. The official language of the conference is English. No prior experience with Korean Studies or Korean language is necessary.
