Deborah Jeong

Deborah Jeong is the International Student Conferences (ISC) Communications Coordinator.

She was an American delegate during the 12th Korea-America Student Conference (KASC) in 2019 and served as the American Vice Chair for KASC 13 from 2020 to 2021. She collaborated with the KASC 13 Executive Committee to rapidly adjust and adapt the program from an in-person conference, to a hybrid model, to, finally, a virtual conference amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the unprecedented circumstances, KASC 13 successfully completed the conference and built lasting international friendships as aspiring global citizens.

Deborah graduated with a B.A. in International Studies with a focus in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego in 2021. She had a double minor in Transnational Korean Studies, and Law & Society. From 2022 to 2023, Deborah worked in South Korea as a native English teacher through the English Program in Korea (EPIK) and had the opportunity to gain a first-hand understanding of Korean society, and explore the country. Deborah is currently a MALD Student at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

Deborah is looking forward to supporting the upcoming conferences of JASC, KASC, and ChASC as she hones her skills in intercultural dialogue and people-to-people diplomacy.
