International Student Conferences (ISC), a Washington-based non-profit focused on U.S.-Asia relations and student interchange is currently seeking an Intern for its Summer 2018 class. The Intern will work directly with the ISC Staff on the organization’s three flagship programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research to identify appropriate program components and assist in the preparation of programs;
  • Assist student Executive Committee members and Staff in arranging and confirming program logistics (ie transportation, meals, meeting spaces);
  • Assist in preparing briefing books and program materials for participants;
  • Research and implement best social media and outreach practices;
  • Accompany international and U.S. visitors, as required, to programs;
  • Additional projects and assignments as needed.


  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, Internet and E-Mail
  • Experience in database management
  • Strong communications (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to work remotely
  • Ability to prioritize and handle a variety of assignments simultaneously
  • Have demonstrated strong interest in US-Asia relations
  • An undergraduate degree or substantial work toward a degree


    ISC interns work on a part-time or full-time basis for at least three months with the majority of work being done remotely. ISC interns attend a weekly in-person meeting at ISC’s Washington, DC office.
