International Student Conferences (ISC) is a Washington-based non-profit focused on U.S.-Asia relations and student interchange and is currently seeking a Event Coordinator Intern for its Spring/Summer 2017 class. The Event Coordinator Intern will work directly with ISC staff on its 2017 Korea-America Student Conference (KASC) to be held from July 23 - August 13.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist KASC Program Manager in planning programs, identifying venues, transportation, and meal optionss
  • Assist KASC Program Manager in management of eight student leaders
  • Assist with development and creation of printed materials
  • Assist with event marketing
  • Assist with additional projects as needed.
  • Requirements Include:

  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, Internet and e-mail
  • Experience with scheduling and budgeting for events
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Comfortable contacting vendors over email and phone
  • Ability to prioritize and handle a variety of assignments simultaneously.

    Preferred Requirements Include:

  • Strong event planning/management experience
  • Working towards a degree in hospitality, public relations, or marketing
  • Graphic design experience
  • Strong interest in US-Korea relations.
