About the ChASC 5 Logo and Designer

Our Designer

Alex Deng, a native of Shandong, is known in the design community as “The Wild Professor.” He holds a master’s degree in design from Beijing Institute of Technology and is a senior graphic designer.

Alex Deng is currently deeply involved in the field of emblem design, driven by his dissatisfaction with the “poor quality” of over 99% of emblems in China. He was the first to establish the “Sharp Reviews of Emblems” track online (on Xiaohongshu: Wild Professor’s Sharp Reviews of Emblems), with the mission of “reconstructing the aesthetics of Chinese emblems.” He offers free analysis and consultation on emblem design issues to alumni and design enthusiasts from universities in China and around the world. Whether in terms of the number of emblems produced, the number of followers, or overall influence, he leads the field in China.

His design of the logo for the Fifth China-America Student Forum is another brilliant showcase of his design philosophy and artistic ideals.

Our logo

Created by renowned Chinese logo designer and critic Alex Deng, our logo closely follows the theme of the conference “seeking common ground while reserving differences.” By superimposing the five-star symbols in the Chinese and American flag, the image of the radiant “sun” is constructed, meaning the great prospect of “seek common ground, avoid differences, and move forward together.”

Around the “sun,” there are red and blue representative colors of the Chinese and American flag, which intuitively refer to the concept of “avoiding differences.”

The logo’s recognition and distinction is very high, while bright color, and concentric structure represent the longevity and continuous nature of the China-America Student Conference.
