Information for Applicants
KASC seeks a diverse delegation that represents a cross-section of the United States' and Korea's academically accomplished student population. Full-time university students are strongly encouraged to apply. No previous experience with Asian Studies or the Korean language is required as the Conference is conducted in English. KASC does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, age, religion, marital status or sexual orientation.
In order to apply for the conference students must complete the following steps on the online application:
1. Select the American or Korean Delegation application.
a. Select "American Delegation" if you attend school in the U.S.
b. Select "Korean Delegation" if you attend school in Korea.
2. Complete the short answers and essays within your application.
Please enable cookies in your browser so you can reenter where you left off in the
application. The opened application will not expire until after the regular deadline.
3. Email or mail a copy of your resume.
4. Send a copy of your undergraduate and graduate university transcript. The
transcript may be official or unofficial.
5. Provide 1 letter of recommendation.
a. American Delegation applicants: The letter must be from a professor,
employer, or non-family member who can speak about your abilities related to
cultural sensitivity, working well in teams, and academics. He/She may send the
recommendation through mail or email.
b. Korean Delegation applicants: The letter of recommendation must come from
an academic source. Your recommender should discuss your diligence, work
ethic, engagement, and team work abilities. He/ She may send the
recommendation through email or mail.
6. Submit a $10 application fee (for American Delegates), or a $10 application fee (for Korean delegates) through our payment site. Please include a note that states the donation goes towards your application fee.
