Information for Applicants
KASC seeks a diverse delegation that represents a cross-section of the United States' and Korea's academically accomplished student population. Full-time university students are strongly encouraged to apply. No previous experience with Asian Studies or the Korean language is required as the Conference is conducted in English. KASC does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, age, religion, marital status or sexual orientation.
In order to apply for the conference students must complete the following steps:
Follow instructions for "American Delegation" if you attend school in the U.S.
Follow instructions for "Korean Delegation" if you attend school in Korea.
1. Complete the online application
a. Fill in all required blanks on the online form. If you enable cookies on your browser, you can exit the application and re-enter the application where you left off.
b. Paste the text of your essays into the appropriate boxes.
i. Essay One (500- 750 Words)
Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal, which marked your transition from childhood to adulthood within your culture, community, or family.
ii. Essay Two (250 - 300 Words)
What are your expectations of 8th KASC? What do you hope to gain by joining 8th KASC and how will you contribute?
c. Upload your resume to the application, preferably in a PDF format.
2. Send an official copy of your transcript.
3. Have 2 recommenders submit letters of recommendation on your behalf. Letters should be written and sent in a word or pdf file.
a. At least one of the letters should be from an academic source
b. American and Korean Delegates-Transcripts and letters of recommendation
can be emailed to email@example.com. American Delegates can also have their
recommendation letters sent to:

4. Submit a $20 application fee (only for American Delegates) through our online payment site—be sure to include a note that states the donation goes towards your application fee.
