Tokyo

Tokyo serves as the final site for the 71st JASC as it truly represents the center of the Japanese nation.

Tokyo is universally recognized as the epicenter of business, politics and modern culture in Japan, presenting a perfect opportunity for the delegates to experience a plethora of perspectives in the Japanese capital.

Tokyo embodies the theme of the 71st JASC as Japan has become an increasingly more active state in the world, while also seeking to address pressing domestic concerns such as rapid urbanizations, decreasing population, and a plummeting birth rate.

Although it is impossible to discuss all of Tokyo’s notable attractions, some of the more well-known ones include:

  • Tokyo Sky Tree
  • Tokyo Tower
  • Harajuku
  • Shibuya Crossing

  • In addition to these tourist spots, Tokyo has continued to maintain its role as the financial and business core of Japan. Many notable Japanese corporations base their operations in Tokyo, as they seek to expand their global operations. Additionally, Tokyo has seen an increasing focus on the development of start-up businesses as Japanese policy makers and businesses seeks to improve the country’s economic competitiveness.
