University of Wisconsin-Madison
Hi everyone! My name is Sharon Lu, and I am currently a senior majoring in Biology--Neurobiology Option and working towards the Certificate in Professional Japanese Communication at the University of Wisconsin--Madison. On campus, I am a research assistant conducting anxiety and Alzheimer’s research at the Waisman Laboratory for Brain Imaging and Behavior, the president of the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children--UW-Madison, and the senior advisor of the Taiwanese Undergraduate Student Organization. Besides research and participating in student organizations, I enjoy watching movies and dramas, biking, listening to diverse music, taking a stroll after dinner with my family, and watching the sunset.
JASC was truly a life-changing experience, and it does not end. Cherishing JASC memories and friendships, I will continue to humbly appreciate JASC as I walk toward the future with the confidence it has instilled in me. The trusting and comfortable environment that allowed me to be myself, the challenges on cultural, academic, and personal levels that brought me closer to fellow delegates and made me grow, and the contentment I felt at the end of each day in JASC-- these are what I hope to bring to our 66th JASC delegates. I can’t wait to meet everyone!
